Welcome to our blog! Here you'll find out just what we have been up to recently and can get an insiders view on the life of a photographer!

Sorry - we have been so busy over the last few months that we have neglected the blog again. We have, however, been working on a facebook page which has all our latest news, updates and offers. Highlights from the autumn include a few lovely weddings at Kenmore, Huntingtower, and Balgonie Castle. You can see the full galleries under our Recent Wedding tab.
The studio has been really busy with family portraits, and we have enjoyed several location family shoots around Perthshire as well as welcoming groups into our studio. We were kept very busy with adorable pre-schoolers from Bumblebeez Nursery in Dunfermline who came to us for fun individual and sibling portraits. More unusual events included the Annual Kinross Otters Swimming Gala Championships and a privately commissioned underwater baby shoot (see image below). We've even have a few pet portraits including a beautiful black lab and this wonderful fluffy cat.

Well it's been a busy season, and I've not had a minute to post to the blog, so here's a catch up to give you a flavour of some of the jobs we have worked on during the last 6-9 months.
Prestige Property:
Although based in central Scotland, we also have a base in the Highlands are happy to undertake work in any location. The more extreme the better! We regularly work for Knight Frank photographing domestic properties.

Corporate Away Days:
Staff away days and community days are worth their weight in gold.....but often don't come cheap. Thats why it's crucial to invest in a professional record of the day for future use in presentations, training materials, developing staff morale and sharing the learning with other staff who weren't able to be there. This image is from the PricewaterhouseCoopers Action Day.

PR Work:
No job too big or small. We bring a creative edge to all out jobs including PR work, where we take the brief and work with you to ensure images that will work for you.

Brochure Shots:
This time we weren't underwater! Some promotional activity shots for Fife Council.

Commercial Shots:
As well as working on product shots in our state of the art studio, we are often commissioned to produce images for marking materials for Scottish industry. Here we were asked to photograph staff in the ir work environment for Inveralmond Brewery in Perth.

Underwater Shoots:
As a fully qualified dive master with 24 years experience I am well used to underwater photography - first starting with fish, coral reefs and then moving on to wreck diving all round the world. In recent years I've been shooting babies and children in indoor pools - which is great fun and something both the clients and I love. This year has seen the rise of the underwater fashion shoot! The brief for the shoot below was to produce unique eye-catching and memorable images to promote a new underwater anti-natal exercise class. For the full shoot - click here.

Studio Shoots:
Our studio is one of the largest in central Scotland - meaning we have loads of space to jump and dance around! Here are some recent sporting images we took for Fife Council. Anyone for tennis...?!

Clubs, Groups & Societies:
We have recently been doing a fair bit of work for local clubs and groups, including the Fife Camera Club and the Fife Deaf Club (pictured below).

Product Shots:
The global economy might be in turmoil, but thankfully here in Scotland there are signs we are bucking the trend! More and more we are being approached to take product shots for a wide variety of industries and manufacturers. Our studio facilities, equipment and lighting mean we are geared to produced high end images Saatchi & Saatchi would be proud of!

Digital Restoration:
We have had an number of interesting requests for digital restoration of old images recently. The task here was to remove the family members from the original image to isolate the man on the right. You can see the before and after images below:

Underwater Exhibition:
Six of my underwater images from around the world formed part of the Hide & Seek Exhibition at perth Museum. The exhibition ran from February-April 2011, and featured the work of eight Perthshire wildlife photographers.

Corporate Shoot:
Scottish Enterprise and Capability Scotland teamed up. The result - a location shoot of volunteers in action!

Property Interiors:
Property work for Knight Frank continues to be a large part of our work.

CD Covers, Art Posters & Marketing Materials:
A local musical trio of 3 generations of the same family came to the studio to shoot images for their recent CD.

Product Shots:
Our studio is the perfect environment for creating winning product shots. Here are some product shots of Smith-Anderson the paper manufacturers.

Commercial Property:
I was commissioned to shot the interior refurbishment of The Thistle Hotel in Milnathort.

It's hard to believe by the way she modeled that it was her first time in front of the camera! please click here for gallery

Well it seems everyone else is doing boudoir so when I had an enquiry last month from a lady looking to do a session for her husbands 50th birthday I discussed the idea and said I'd have a go.We shot the photos outdoors midmorning in a local garden, her Mum came along and was a great help. We had discussed making the shots as natural as possible so very little photoshopping has ben done. I am really pleased with the shots and would love to take any similar projects if any come my way.

Helen and Andy, who were married at Muckhart Church on a v windy day October 3rd. It was so windy Helens veil blew off into the sky as she came out of the church!! At least the rain held off and we managed quite a few photos outside. Having photographed both of Helen's Sisters' weddings previously, I was honoured to be asked to complete the trio.
